LG are preparing new members for the Cookie and Viewty families of full-touch devices. The LG GS290 Cookie Fresh and the LG GT400 Viewty that were spotted at the CeBIT 2010 will be mid-range featurephones with 3" touchscreens.

The LG GS290 Cookie Fresh aims lower than the newly announced Cookie Plus, coming with no 3G support. The Cookie Fresh is obviously targeted at teenagers and features a 3 inch display of WQVGA resolution and a 2 megapixel camera. Music lovers will also appreciate the 3.5mm standard audio jack and the FM radio functionality.

The other not yet officially announced handset caught in the wild is LG GT400 Viewty. In keeping with its family traditions, it has a 5 megapixel camera as its key feature. Unfortunately, information about the rest of the specs of the new Viewty is pretty scarce.

We are yet to receive any information about the target availability and pricing of the two handsets.

It seems that the insanely expensive LG GD910 wristwatch phone will be getting a successor. The evidence is quite solid - the new watch phone posed for some live shots during the LG Digital Experience in Brazil.

As you can see from the photos the new gadget resembles its predecessor and remains on the thick side. The two "major" differences in the design are the oval edges and the LG logo position. The Bluetooth headset also looks the same as those supplied with the GD910.

LG refused to give any additional details so far, but we'll keep you posted once more specs pop up.

The furniture-inspired Samsung S7070 Diva with its quilted back is in UK stores now. While the diamond-shaped center key on the front tries to reinforce the feel of luxury, the social networking integration and the Wish List application aim to keep ladies occupied.

The Samsung S7070 Diva runs the traditional Samsung TouchWiz on its 2.8" QVGA touchscreen, but its fashion-conscious design sets it apart from the usual suspects. The S7070 Diva supports microSD cards up to 8GB, has DNSe (though there's no 3.5 mm audio jack) and a 3.2MP camera that focuses on arty effects (beauty shot, lomo, etc) rather than high-resolution image quality.

Since this phone is something of a fashion accessory, Carphone Warehouse are offering a limited number of gift bags with each Samsung S7070 Diva - the bags are stuffed with goodies from Benefit, like cream-to-powder finish foundations and portable kits of mini concealers. O2 on the other hand are offering a 12 month subscription to iSUBSCRIBE with the first 8000 Divas sold.

From Carphone Warehouse, the S7070 Diva is available for T-Mobile (free, 15 pounds a month on a 2-year contract) and Orange (again free, 20 pounds/mo, 2-year contract) or 130 pounds for a pay as you go service for T-Mobile, Orange, O2 or Vodafone.

The first clear images of the BlackBerry's pioneer slider leaked online. The mysterious device sports touchscreen, optical trackpad, sliding full QWERTY keyboard and runs on BlackBerry OS 6.

There is little info about the specs yet since the prototype appearing on the pictures below had a faulty battery and couldn't power on. However even that battery turned out to be unseen before in a BlackBerry device. Its model is FX-1 with 1050 mAh of capacity. We said unseen, not impressive, right?

The guys over at CrackBerry did some serious digging and they've found spicy info buried into the BlackBerry.net website. The 9700a UAProf document shows a portrait resolution of 360x480 pixels (not 480x360 pixels like the 9700), BlackBerry OS 6 and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Despite having a touchscreen, the BlackBerry Slider won't pack the SurePress technology we came to know from the Storm family. Wild guesses now suggest it will join the Bolds, but who knows what RIM are really working on.

Opera Mini now speaks Windows Mobile-ish! In other words, the platform now enjoys a native version of the Opera Mini 5 web browser. Up until now, WinMo users needed Java support, but that's no more.

After Skype ditched support and development for their WinMo native app, Opera are going the other way.

The Opera Mobile 10 beta has been out there for a few months but the Mini version has several advantages that make it worth downloading. The Opera Mini 5 for WinMo, just like its Java-based sibling, compresses the data traffic by up to 90 percent which results in zippier page loading and lower browsing costs.

So, the big news here is the newly launched native version of Opera Mini 5 beta for Windows 5- and 6-based devices.
